The Edo State Government verified the death of a 56-year-old male nurse and one other COVID-19 person in Auchi General Hospital on Friday.
The fatalities were not vaccinated, according to Ebomwonyi Osagie, head of the state’s Coronavirus Case Management.
Four patients have been discharged in the previous 24 hours, according to Osagie.
According to him, there are now 925 confirmed cases, 646 ongoing cases, and 35 deaths in the state.
Also addressing, Dr. Osamwonyi Irowa, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, claimed the state had not documented any death from the immunization exercise, despite rumors to the contrary.

He stated that the state administration was committed to preventing Coronavirus-related mortality among its inhabitants.
Irowa expressed his sorrow at the death of the health worker and promised that the state government will do everything in its power to safeguard the people and prevent them from dying.
