Jigawa State Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has stated that 3.6 million people in the state will be vaccinated against COVID-19 by December 24, 2021.
After flagging off a mass vaccination exercise in the state’s Kiyawa Local Government Area on Thursday, he said.
According to Badaru, the state has conducted 20,318 tests, with 617 cases resulting in positive results, as well as 17 deaths.
According to him, the state began the vaccination program in Dutse in March of this year, and so far 122,000 people have received the first dose, with another 52,000 receiving both the first and second dose.
