The victim reportedly was abducted while traveling from Benin, Edo State, to Ibadan, Oyo State, in order to return to her principal duty location.
Her family said they were unable to pay the alleged ₦20 million ransom demand from the kidnappers.
The kidnappers reportedly lowered the ₦20 million ransom to ₦5 million after back-and-forth discussions.
Lawal’s buddy Agbakwara, who was informed of the occurrence, provided an update on Saturday, revealing that Aminat had been released.

In a Facebook post, Agbakwara shared a video of the victim and stated, “The kidnappers put pressure on us in the early hours of Friday, saying that we shouldn’t anticipate her return if we didn’t comply with their demands.
I desperately contacted everyone I could, including her family, my fans, her hometown friends, her coworkers at school, and the Muslim association.
“We raised N1.1 million thanks to the goodwill and combined efforts of many people, and at 4:20 pm on Friday, the money was transferred to an account that the kidnappers had provided.
“Issac Ayo, the recipient, told us that his sister had also been abducted and promised to deliver the ransom along with his own.”
Lawal was eventually reunited with her family on Saturday morning, he said.
“We waited nervously for hours. At approximately 10 p.m., we finally got the eagerly anticipated phone informing us that they had been freed and sent to the hospital.
We received a second call this morning verifying that Rofiat was en her home and that the others had made it back to their families without incident.
I would like to sincerely thank everyone who shared the news, made a contribution, and tagged the appropriate authorities. “This was made possible by your support,” he said.
