Convention: APC will lead Nigeria to manifest destiny, says Osinbajo

The All Progressives Congress, according to Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN), will continue to build a Nigeria that all citizens can be proud of.

This was stated by the Vice President on Saturday night at the APC Convention in Eagle Square, Abuja.

The Vice President spoke just before the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari, gave his speech (retd.).

According to a statement from Osinbajo’s spokesman, Laolu Akande, the ruling party will implement the promise of universal health coverage for all Nigerians.

“We will persevere unafraid in our efforts to construct the infrastructure that will serve as the foundation for the great modern economy of our dreams.” We will continue to work toward a strong, united, fair, and just Nigeria, a country where every young man and woman can find work and prosper, he added.

He urged the party’s new leaders to “focus on the goal of lifting 100 million people out of poverty in this decade, as promised by President Muhammadu Buhari’s government.”

“We will not back down; we will not pause; we will not falter.” And by God’s grace, this party, our party, the All Progressives Congress, will lead Nigeria and its great peoples to their destiny in the coming decades.”
“The years of construction are always difficult, and sometimes painful,” he said. Deep roots into the ground and a foundation as deep as the grand edifice it will support are required for the construction of a great edifice.

“We cannot deny the difficulties we have faced as a party, as a government, and as a people.

“In some parts of the country, we’ve had to deal with terrorist activities, insurgency, and security challenges. Our people, on the other hand, have remained steadfast, resilient, and determined to see the Nigeria of our dreams become a reality. Our government, on the other hand, has remained steadfast, determined, committed, and laser-focused.”
