Super Eagles-eligible striker, Chuba Akpom has set a new scoring record in the English Football League Championship.

The Middlesbrough forward became the first player to score in nine consecutive home games in the history of the league.

Akpom was on the scoresheet as Boro came from behind to thrash Hull City 3-1 at the Riverside Stadium on Wednesday night.

The 27-year-old wrapped up the scoring for his team to help Middlesbrough move closer to promotion play-offs.

With the victory, Middlesbrough sit fourth on the English Championship table with just a point behind third-placed Luton Town.
