Buni Approves Employment Of 196 Medical Personnel

Mai Mala Buni, Governor of Yobe State and Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, has approved the employment of 196 graduates of the College of Health Science and Technology Nguru in order to boost manpower in the health sector.

“Governor Buni said, the employment of the 196 graduates of the College would provide the professional skills needed in the health facilities across the state,” according to a press statement signed by Mamman Mohammed, the Director General Press and Media Affairs.

Pharmacy technicians, medical laboratory technicians, dental surgery technicians, and health information management specialists are among those who have been approved for employment.
23 Pharmacy Technicians, 60 Medical Laboratory Technicians, 62 Dental Surgery Technicians, and 51 Health Information Management professionals have received approval.

His Excellency urged the recipients to devote themselves to their professions and to serve the people with dignity.

“Because the government has invested so much in training you and now employing you, you must justify the government’s large investment by serving our people diligently and efficiently to add value to our drive to improve healthcare delivery in the state,” Governor Buni said.

He promised that the government would continue to hire the personnel needed to provide effective and efficient service delivery.

“This administration is dedicated to bringing accessible and affordable healthcare to our people’s doorsteps,” he stated.
To improve healthcare delivery in the state, the Buni administration has established at least one functional healthcare facility in each of the 178 political wards across the state, as well as more general and specialist hospitals.
