A representative of the government has noted that President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed sadness over the death of his classmate, Malam Muhammadu Maigari, also known as Muhammadu Musawa, a community leader and college classmate.
The statement made by the Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, is as follows: The President said of Maigari that he was a total gentleman, and the death of such a notable figure is a loss to everyone.

We’re all saddened by his passing. He was special to those who knew him, particularly his classmates. He was a perfect gentleman and a generous person who won everyone’s heart. “My sincerest condolences to his brothers, Senator Abu Ibrahim, and Alhaji Yazid Ibrahim, as well as his brother-in-law, Barrister Yahaya Ibrahim,” said the President.
In addition, the President conveyed his condolences to the Katsina Emirate Council, the government, and the people of Katsina State on behalf of the United States for the loss.
He asked God to forgive the deceased who had passed away.
