President Muhammadu Buhari has directed that the Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, and the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, meet with Twitter to address the ban.
The Buhari administration has maintained this attitude despite worldwide condemnation and civil rights organizations.
On Tuesday, however, Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information, announced the formation of a team to connect with Twitter.
Isa Pantami (Communication and Digital Economy), Chris Ngige (Labour), and Geoffrey Onyeama (Education) are the other ministers on the team, in addition to Fashola and Malami (Foreign Affairs).
