On his 68th birthday today, President Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) congratulated Gen. Muhammad Buba Marwa (Rtd.) on his Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.
Marwa served as the military governor of old Borno State and as the military administrator of Lagos.
Buhari praised Marwa’s efforts in the fight against drug misuse and trafficking in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.
He admired his commitment to repositioning the NDLEA, cleaning up the streets, and educating young people about the dangers of substance usage.
“The President affirms that the former Chairman, Presidential Advisory Committee for the Elimination of Drug Abuse (PACEDA) and Ambassador to South Africa, the Kingdoms of Lesotho and Swaziland, has an inspiring track record, reflecting his passion, training, and experience, both local and international,” Adesina says.

“At 68, President Buhari feels Marwa’s patriotism and diligence have left indelible marks on the country, demonstrating both old and young alike the way forward.
