President Muhammadu Buhari has assured Nigerians that his administration will address the issues of banditry and insecurity before the end of his term.
On Thursday, Buhari paid a courtesy visit to Sultan Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar at the Sultan’s palace in Sokoto.
He expressed regret for the current events in the North West, saying that they were giving him sleepless nights.
He bemoaned, “It’s quite disturbing that the same people and culture are killing each other for no apparent reason.”
The military and other security agencies have been given clear orders to crush bandits and kidnappers in the north and other parts of the country, according to the President.
