Lagos State’s Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area is in sorrow after the passing of Musibau Asafa, its executive chairman.
Bodunrin Ayodele, the deceased’s chief press secretary, reportedly announced in a statement on Saturday that Asafa passed away following a protracted sickness fight.
Ayodele, who did not reveal the chairman’s passing date, stated that his principle passed away in spite of the efforts of medical experts.
The announcement said, “Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area is in sorrow after Prince Musibau Adekunle Asafa, its Executive Chairman, passed away.
After a protracted illness, Prince Asafa, a well-respected statesman, leader, and devoted public servant, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and service to the people he served.
A close relative claims that Prince Asafa’s death was verified following a protracted disease fight. He passed away despite the best efforts of medical personnel, leaving his friends, family, and coworkers in shock and sorrow.
As word of his departure spreads, well-wishers, local authorities, and government representatives who had the honor of working with him are anticipated to offer their sympathies and tributes. A dedication to bettering the lives of his residents characterized Prince Asafa’s leadership, and his contributions to the local government will be sorely regretted.

Abdul-Hamed Salawu, the Executive Chairman of the Somolu Local Government Area, sent his condolences to Oto-Awori LCDA on Saturday via the Somolu LGA social media accounts for the chairman’s passing.
“The people of Oto-Awori LCDA and the APC family have received the condolences of the Executive, Legislature, Management, and the people of Somolu Local Government from Abdul-Hammed Salawu, the executive chairman of Oto-Awori LCDA, over the tragic death of Prince Musbau Adekunle Asafa, the executive chairman of Oto-Awori LCDA,” the post stated.
“May his gentle soul find eternal peace.”
