Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress, was declared the winner of the Borno State presidential election on February 25 after receiving the most votes among the other 17 candidates.
Prof. Jude Rabo, the Borno State Presidential Election Collation Officer, announced that Tinubu, who received 252,282 votes across the 27 local government areas, had won.
The LGAS consists of the following groups of people: Gubio, Kaga, Magumeri, Mafa, Kwaya Kusar, Konduga, Nganzai, Dikwa, Bayo, Abadan, Mobbar, Gwoza, Shani, Kala/Balge, Ngala, Marte, Jere, Askira, Chibok, Monguno, Damboa, Hawul, Guzamala, Biu, and Kuk
Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential candidate, received 190,921 votes, placing him about 60,000 votes behind Tinubu.
 Also, Peter Obi’s Labour party polled 7,205 votes, leaving Rabiu Kwankwaso’s New Nigeria Peoples Party with 4,626 votes.
