Bola Tinubu, who was elected President of Nigeria, and Kashim Shettima, who was elected Vice President of Nigeria, have both taken their oaths of office as President and Vice President of Nigeria, respectively.
On Monday, Kayode Ariwoola, the Chief Justice of Nigeria, presided over the administration of the Oath of Office to the newly elected officials.

The Independent National Electoral Commission has announced that Tinubu, a former member of the Senate and the governor of Lagos State, is the victor of the presidential election that took place in February 2023.
Peter Obi of the Labour Party came in third place in the election with a total of 6,101,533 votes, and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the NNPP came in fourth place with 1,496,687 votes. The candidate of the All Progressives Congress received a total of 8,794,726 votes to defeat his closest rival from the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar. Atiku Abubakar received a total of 6,984,520 votes in the election.
