He’s currently on his way to meet with members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the National Assembly.
Tinubu’s 2023 presidential ambitions were previously reported to be on the agenda for a meeting with senators.
This newspaper learned that Tinubu’s wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, was also in attendance. Afterward, he is scheduled to meet with senators in the upper chamber of Congress.
“I told Mr. President that my ambition is not blind to the extent that I will step on his toes,” Tinubu was heard saying to the Senators. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to APC Senators: “I just want to step into his shoes, not on his toes.”
“I’m here to seek your advice, collaboration, and assistance. In my heart, I know that you can help support me in achieving my long-term goal.”
“I’m pleading with you to take a closer look at my qualifications and prior experience. Only one other person has served in both the Senate and as governor and is now running for the White House.
