Oluwole Oke, the head of the House of Representatives’ Public Accounts Committee, has left the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
In a letter to the PDP chairman in Ward 7, the state’s Obokun Local Government Area, the legislator, who represents Osun State’s Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, announced his resignation.

On Wednesday, Oke, a six-term lawmaker, declared his intention to leave the PDP.
The politician stated, “I would like to formally inform you that I am leaving the Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP, with immediate effect.”
He went on to say that the choice was made following discussion and engagement with friends, family, and political associates.
“I sincerely hope you will accept my resignation,” he continued in the letter.
Additionally, Oke imitated the Peoples Democratic Party’s National, State, and Local Government Chairmen.
