According to reports, a dental student at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) killed himself soon after the exam results were made public.
The OAU Dental Students’ Association (IFUDSA) confirmed the death in a statement signed by Adebayo Idris, the organization’s president, calling the occurrence a tragic loss.
According to reports, the association said the tragedy might leave many people in shock and encouraged students to support one another and get treatment.
Additionally, the statement restated IFUDSA’s dedication to enhancing student welfare and mental health assistance.
According to the statement, “We regret to inform you of the passing of one of our colleagues in the Faculty of Dentistry. He committed suicide not long after the examination results were made public, which is heartbreaking news for us.
