The Economic Community of West African States has announced plans to launch the Joint Platform for Advancing West African Cybersecurity.
The unveiling is slated for Tuesday, September 12, in Abuja, according to the organisation.
This was announced on Monday via the company’s official X handle (ecowas_cedeao).
The programme aims to improve regional cyber diplomacy, defend key infrastructure, combat cybercrime, and ensure data sovereignty.
ECOWAS is organising this event in partnership with valued partners to mark the formal launch of the ECOWAS Action Plan, which aims to improve regional cybersecurity capabilities and resilience.
