South African President Cyril Ramaphosa was met by President Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
On Wednesday, Ramaphosa arrived at the Villa about 10 a.m. and was greeted by Buhari. He was then given a 21-gun salute after inspecting a guard of honour.

His visit to the Villa comes just hours after the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control verified the country’s first three cases of the Omicron strain of COVID-19, alleging that they are related to South African travelers.
