Borno: Nigerian Air Force Bombardment Decimates Terrorist Hideout

As part of its stepped-up counterterrorism efforts in the Northeast, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has eliminated several terrorists and destroyed their hideouts in Borno State.

At around 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday, September 17, the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai (AC OPHK) carried out the precision strikes, according to a statement released Thursday by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, Headquarters, Nigerian Air Force.

According to Ejodame, suspicious movements at Bula Madibale in the Gezuwa general region were confirmed by intelligence and surveillance reports, which prompted the airstrikes.

Approximately forty-five terrorists, some riding motorcycles and bicycles, had gathered at the site, he disclosed, and two rebel flags were also seen. A coordinated air interdiction was initiated by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai in response to this reliable intelligence.

According to the statement, “the strikes achieved devastating impact, eliminating several terrorists at the gathering point, while the flagged structure and other hostile assets at the location were destroyed,” it wrote.
“The operation demonstrates the military’s determination to prevent terrorists from being able to reorganize, re-enforce, or launch additional attacks on communities in the region,” the NAF spokesperson continued.

Specifically in the Northeast, he reiterated the Armed Forces’ dedication to bringing peace and stability back.
