Biafra: Kanu’s family speaks out about IPOB’s leadership

On Saturday, the family of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, spoke out against the group’s leadership.

Kanunta, Kingsley Kanu’s brother, Kanu, has stated that his brother is the “only leader” of IPOB.

According to reports, Kanu was replaced as the Director of IPOB by Sofia Chinyere Kalu.

Mrs Kalu is the group’s Financial Secretary in the United Kingdom, according to reports.

Kalu is the new Director of IPOB worldwide, according to Ezeji Chukwuma, a separatist who manages the IPOB and Radio Biafra Community Interest Companies (CIC) Registry in London, UK.

However, IPOB spokesman Emma Powerful dismissed claims of Kanu’s removal as rumor.

Kanunta reacted by urging those who had been wronged to learn how to solve problems rather than create them.

“#MaziNnamdiKanu is the ONLY leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra,” he wrote in a tweet (IPOB).

“We must learn to address issues rather than create them because we have lost and continue to lose men in this struggle.”
