Benue health commissioner Emmanuel Ikwulono dies after surgery

The Commissioner for Health in Benue State, Dr Emmanuel Ikwulono, is dead.

Ikwulono is said to have died as a result of complications from surgery at the Jos University Teaching Hospital, Plateau State.

“He attended the last state executive council meeting last week and subsequently went for the surgery. His death came as a rude shock this evening,” one of the sources told the news media.

Ikwulono was sworn in on August 5 to replace Dr Sunday Ongbabo who voluntarily resigned his appointment a week earlier.
