Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has waded into the Ballon d’Or conversation for this year.
According to the Spaniard, Rodri deserves to win it ahead of players like Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior.
Guardiola insists that Rodri’s consistency has been “brutal”.
He said: “I can’t deny how happy I would be if Rodri could get the Ballon d’Or”.
“His consistency is just brutal.
“Being in the race, being nominated, or winning the Ballon d’Or is fantastic.”
Rodri was a key member of the City team that won the Premier League for the fourth consecutive season and the Euro 2024 trophy with Spain.
