AY makes lifetime commitment to Peter Obi amidst defeat in presidential election

Ayo Makun, better known by his stage name AY, is a Nigerian comedian and actor who recently lost the presidency to Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 election.
It was previously reported that Tinubu, the presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress, was recognized as the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) early on March 1.
In a close election, the former governor of Lagos State defeated Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) with 8,805,420 votes.

In response, AY expressed his pride in Peter Obi for inspiring many Nigerians to have courage, ambition, and plans for a better country via his Instagram page.He urged the former governor of Anambra State to continue with his genuine intention for Nigeria adding he would not relent in his support for him.
He wrote: “From the very day you honoured my open invitation to speak with Nigerians concerning the 2023 elections, I became proud of you and what you represent.

“Till this very minute, you still make a lot of people feel so proud of your courage, handwork, ambition, and plans for a better Nigeria. Continue to be honest with your genuine intentions for our country, Nigeria.
