Prince Mustafa Audu, the CEO of the Electric Motor Vehicle Company (EMVC), has voiced optimism that e-mobility will significantly contribute to Africa’s economic growth.
He told reporters at the ongoing COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, that the government’s decarbonization efforts are already paying off.
Audu urged international investors to visit Nigeria, stating that the Tinubu administration is committed to a green economy.
It’s critical that we understand that the electrification of the transportation industry is the way of the future.
As a result, we are assisting in directing and collaborating with certain government entities to ensure that e-mobility is a permanent fixture.

“As Nigeria’s biggest producers and manufacturers of electric vehicles, we’re here at COP 29 in Baku to highlight the progress we’re making in decarbonizing the continent’s transportation sector.”
Thus far, we have contributed to the development of policies that would encourage Nigeria to embrace e-mobility.This year alone, we have sold far over 10,000 cars and counting.
“We constructed the biggest manufacturing facility in Nigeria in Giri, Abuja. We have also assisted in training other individuals. We are the first organization to establish a polytechnic program with the Federal Polytechnic to train individuals in a course specifically designed for E-mobility training.
“We are about to start mapping out Africa’s whole EV ecosystem. We will become Africa’s largest e-mobility company. You heard it here first, and I want you to know that.
We have a lot of promise. Africa has enormous growth potential.
Additionally, our cars and batteries have an impact on three crucial industries.
