The Delta State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has arrested eleven suspected vandals (NSCDC).
Soldiers from the 181 Amphibious Battalion of Operation Delta Safe apprehended the suspects while carting away vandalized oil pipelines.

Akinsanya Iskilu Abiodun, the Commandant of the Delta NSCDC, made the announcement yesterday while arraigning the suspects at the Command’s headquarters in Asaba.
Due to strong synergy and collaboration between the two agencies, the suspects were apprehended and handed over by the 181 Amphibious Battalion, Ughelli.
Preliminary investigations revealed that a 66-year-old man named George Umukoro recruited the other suspects to transport the vandalized crude oil pipes in Evurode, Ughelli South Local Government Area of the state, according to Akinsanya.
Adu Peter, 62, Luke Efekerhi, 66, Thomas Umukoro, 60, Felix Iku, 45, Ede Otoborisi, 43, Henry Oshevire, 42, Eruovuho Akparugo, 32, Sunday Godwin, 36, Igwe Shedrack, 30, and Orava Adiza, 41, were among the other suspects, he said.

The state’s success in the fight against vandalism, according to the Commandant, is due to the encouragement of the NSCDC’s Commandant General, Dr. Abubakar Audi Ahmed.
