Owing to the tremendous successes recorded in the ongoing military operations and exercises across the country, the Nigerian Army has extended the operations to January 7th 2020.
In a statement on Sunday, the Acting Director of Army Public Relations Col Sagir Musa noted with particular reference to Exercise POSITIVE IDENTIFICATION and other operations including; Exercises AYEM AKPATUMA II, ATILOGWU UDO I and CROCODILE SMILE IV which were to end on the 23rd of December 2019.
It would be recalled that in her spirited efforts to combat insecurity across the nation, the Nigerian Army, through a Press Release made on the 25th of September 2019, alerted members of the public of the commencement of the said routine exercises in the different regions of Nigeria.
Consequently, the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai has reassured the citizens of Nigerian Army’s unwavering resolve to protect lives and properties of all law abiding citizens.
General Buratai also expressed his deep appreciation to Nigerians for the tremendous support and understanding during the conduct of Exercises AYEM AKPATUMA II, ATILOGWU UDO I and CROCODILE SMILE IV across the Country so far while soliciting same support as the Exercises run through the said extension period.
