All Progressives Congress (APC) member Ibrahim Balarabe Abdulahi, the speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has been fired by the Court of Appeal located in Abuja.
In its ruling on Tuesday, the court recognized Sa’ad Ibrahim, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as the legitimately elected representative for the Umaisha/Ugya State Constituency in the state assembly election scheduled for March 18.
It was reported that there had been a fight over speakership between Mr. Daniel Ogah Ogazi, who represents Kokona East, and Mr. Ibrahim Balarabe-Abdullahi, who represents Umaisha-Ugya in the state assembly.
Further information was acquired, indicating that the problem in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly had given rise to two speakers. Abdulahi Sule, the state governor, eventually addressed the issue, leaving Balarabe as speaker, but the appeal court dismissed him on Tuesday.
