APC veteran urges Tinubu to appoint party supporters as ministers

Bukie Okangbe, a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress, has made a request to President Bola Tinubu to prioritize the appointment of party loyalists who worked for his victory when he makes cabinet appointments. Okangbe’s request was made in the context of the All Progressives Congress.

Despite this, she took the time on Sunday to extend her congratulations to Tinubu on his election to the position of Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

The national coordinator of National Progressive Hub made the call in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday.

This latest turn of events follows closely on the heels of Tinubu’s election as chairman of ECOWAS at the organization’s 63rd Ordinary Session of the Authority of Heads of State and Government.

Okangbe said, “Your emergence as the new Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States is a confirmation of the capacity, competence, and exemplary leadership experience that transcends the shore of Nigeria.” Okangbe was referring to the fact that your experience extends beyond the borders of Nigeria. It demonstrates that you are the kind of man who is capable of providing leadership not only for his own country but also for the African continent as a whole.

“While we congratulate His Excellency, let us also use this medium to implore you on the necessity of making your cabinet a reflection of dedicated, committed, and hard-working party faithful who worked and sacrificed for the victory of the APC in the most recent presidential election. ” To us, this will go a long way in confirming the principle of fairness for which you are known and putting an end to the inadequate reward system that our great party has been fighting against for some time now.
