Senator Magnus Abe has been cautioned by the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State, over his alleged accusations against the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, who is also the state’s APC leader, of being behind a recent press conference by two members accusing Senator Abe’s faction of undermining the party.

The APC stated that following their preliminary investigation into the matter, they have cleared the Minister of Transportation of such charges, and urged Senator Abe to discreetly and diligently examine those with whom he has shared a political bed for an answer to what is unfolding.
According to a statement by the party’s state chairman, Chief Emeka Beke, Abe’s investigation should focus on the “two gentlemen who appeared not to be under any form of duress in the video clip in question” that has gone viral on social media.
Senator Abe was also urged to present “concrete and verifiable evidence to support his accusation” to “the party and Nigerians,” as failing to do so would render him “guilty” of the same crime of character assassination that he is accusing others of.

Senator Abe should always “exhibit maturity” and not be driven by “instinctive emotions in the face of serious developments that otherwise require measured and calculated reaction,” according to Chief Beke.
