APC responds to coalition of seven political parties: ‘We are not concerned about that’

The decision by seven opposition political groups to join a coalition against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has revealed that the party is not bothered.

It is the responsibility of the parties to demonstrate their worth to Nigerians, the party stated.

Seven opposition parties banded together to oppose the government All Progressives Congress (APC) and established the Concerned Political Parties (CCPP) coalition. In order to foil the APC’s plan to establish a one-party state in Nigeria, the coalition was founded.

Allied Peoples Movement (APM), the Young Progressive Party (YPP), the Social Democratic Party (SDP), the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), the African Democratic Congress (ADC), and the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) comprise the coalition.

Following a meeting at the SDP national office, the political parties are said to have resolved to form a coalition.

Speaking to the media, Shehu Musa Gabam, the national leader of the Social Democratic Party, stated that the policies and budget of the federal government are insufficient to address Nigeria’s economic issues.

In response, Felix Morka, the national publicity secretary for the APC, was reported to have waved off the partnership with a wave of his hand and said that the alliance would not divert the party’s attention.

As per The Nation, Morka stated: “We have also reviewed the account of discussions regarding the desire of certain political parties to unite.” About that, we have no concerns. The opposition is responsible for everything they do. Before Nigerians, it is their responsibility to defend themselves.
