The All Progressives Congress (APC) Itabono Ward 1 reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening party unity and supporting key leaders within the party during a significant gathering that took place on June 25, 2025. Sen. Dr. George Akume, SGF, was the convener of this gathering. The meeting was attended by a host of political figures and members of the ward, and it proved to be a defining moment for the APC in the region.
During the beginning of the gathering, the position of party leader of Itabono Ward 1 was reaffirmed to be held by the Honorable Thomas Oduh. Hon. Phillip Agbese, also known as Okanga K’Agila “Enone Servant,” has received the full support of the members of Itabono Ward 1, who have expressed their determination to support him as the candidate for the party. The qualities of leadership that he possesses and his dedication to the well-being of the people were highlighted as aspects that contributed to his candidacy. The ward members made it clear that any opposition to his bid for the House of Representatives was futile, stressing that his leadership is a reflection of the values and aspirations of the people.
Moreover, the meeting welcomed the integration of 13 EXCO members from the Yes Fada camp into the Itabono Ward 1 APC fold. This move reflects the party’s growing unity and expansion, with members coming together for a common cause under the leadership of Hon. Oduh.
