APC crisis: Umahi defends Gov. Buni Remains Authentic Chairman, Vows To Deal With Ebonyi PDP

On Wednesday, Ebonyi State Governor Chief David Umahi insisted Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni is the genuine Caretaker Committee Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

The Governor has also promised to deal with PDP members in Ebonyi State.

Umahi said there was no crisis and tasked party members to dispel rumors of division.

“Don’t be angry about the judgement, thank PDP,” he said. It’s a joke gone too far. And today in Ebonyi State, we will tell the PDP enough. Anyone breaking Ebonyi State law will get it hot starting today.

In the past year, I have seen that I can do my inspection, my work, and also fight. So it’s in Ebonyi State.

“If you want to destroy this government, this state, you will not get your way starting today. Nobody is going to steal your mandates, Umuekumenyi. They have ruled for 8 years. The south is about 7yrs, it is still small, 8yrs.

“I am a man of justice, and I will not allow another senator from the south to replace you. I won’t let you break the law. Your governor was promoted by the bad thoughts about him.

“Nigerians are fighting for us, not the governor of Ebonyi State. I thank the APC national chairman and assure you that APC is undivided. The chairman was sick. We were there when he asked Niger State Governor Mr. Bello to act for him.

“Any changes will be communicated. But for now, no change, no crack. The PDP is trying to destroy this country, and our party, the APC, has noticed their deceptions.

“We know many of them are corrupt, moving money around, but God will catch them, and there is no PDP in Ebonyi State. PDP in Abuja? No, these are APC members.”
