Amaechi’s sacrifices enough to make him presidential candidate, group says

Amaechi Vanguard in the US/Canada has asked the All Progressives Congress to nominate Chibuike Amaechi, the Minister of Transportation, as the party’s consensus presidential candidate.

Daniels Chukwuma, the group’s organizer, said Amaechi had made enough sacrifices for the party to be regarded qualified to run as the APC’s consensus presidential candidate in the 2023 elections.

Amaechi’s bravery in campaigning for Muhammadu Buhari’s presidential aspiration in 2015 in the South-South and Southeast zones, according to the organization, is one of the key reasons the APC is now the country’s governing party.

“Chief Chibuike Amaechi has made enough sacrifices for the APC,” Chukwuma stated. He’s amassed enough ammunition for the APC. In 2015, Amaechi was in the vanguard of campaigning in the South-South and South-East zones for Muhammadu Buhari’s presidential aspirations, at a time when doing so was considered a sin in the two areas.

“In Rivers, Bayelsa, Edo, Akwa Ibom, and other South-South states, he lobbied for Buhari. Keep in mind that these are Goodluck Jonathan’s home states and locations where he received a lot of support. In addition, as the Director-General of the campaign organization, he oversaw Buhari’s campaigns throughout the nation twice, in 2015 and 2019, and the APC won both times. The organization also claimed that Amaechi’s administration will bring unity and peace to all sections of the nation, stating that “Nigeria at this moment needs a president who would be accepted in all regions.”

“Amaechi is a unifier,” Chukwuma remarked. This is the kind of president Nigeria needs right now. We need a president that sees the whole nation as his constituency and treats each zone equally in terms of appointments, infrastructure, and basic utilities, among other things.

“He has been a member of the Federal Executive Council since 2015, after a long tenure as governor and speaker of Rivers State. He is aware of the country’s political intricacies. Both the Northerners and the Southerners have faith in him.”
