Accept defeat, call Tinubu – APC tells Atiku, Obi

Peter Obi, of the Labour Party, and Atiku Abubakar, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have been urged by the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign Council, PCC, to concede defeat to the president-elect of Nigeria.

Dele Alake, the media adviser for the APC PCC, made the statement in response to criticism of the PDP and LP’s calls for the cancellation of the presidential election.

Recall that the PDP and LP jointly denounced the way the election on Saturday was conducted yesterday.

They demanded that the election be canceled by the Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC.

Alake responded by stating that requesting the election be canceled amounted to a “abortion of democracy.”
