After five days in captivity, abductors of lovers who were set to marry this weekend in Ekiti State have released the would-be couple.
Last Sunday, the would-be couple was kidnapped along Ilasa-Ayebode road in Ekiti East council area, according to Tribune Online.
According to sources, the lovers were on their way back from Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, where they had gone to buy some supplies in preparation for their wedding this weekend when they were ambushed by gunmen.
They were said to have been taken to an unknown location before the kidnappers contacted the family on Sunday night and demanded a ransom of N5 million.
