The Federal Capital Territory’s citizens are reportedly without power as of right now, according to the Abuja Electricity Distribution Plc.
The M44 Charley Boy Injection Substation’s 15 MVA, 33/11kV power transformer experienced a major technical fault that led to the power outage, as reported by AEDC.
Roads 63, 64, 69, Lya Kasuwa, Adkan Estate Gwarimpa, and the surrounding areas are among the areas impacted by the technical issue.
The AEDC management apologized that, given the extent of the work involved, the transformer repair may take until January 22.
