Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, the Chief of Naval Staff, has stated that members of the Nigerian Armed Forces and their families ought to be recognized and thanked for the services they have rendered and the significant contributions they have made to the protection of the nation.

He mentioned that it is important to show appreciation to the spouses and families of people, and he added that their efforts have made it possible for personnel to perform at their highest level during a variety of operations.

On the evening of Sunday, December 24, in Abuja, Ogalla delivered a speech during the Christmas Carol that was organized by the Naval Officers’ Wives Association.

He delivered the following statement: “While we are taking pleasure in the joyous atmosphere, let us also take a moment to admire the sacrifices that our naval personnel and their families have made.” They have earned our utmost respect and thanks for their selfless dedication to our beloved nation and the service they have provided. We are able to gather together in celebration and appreciation of the collective spirit that makes the military community strong and resilient thanks to the efforts of the Naval Officers’ Wives Association, which gives us the opportunity to participate in occasions such as this Christmas Carol.

I would also like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude and acknowledgement to the Presidents of DEPOWA, NAOWA, and NAFOWA. Their many different welfare activities in support of the Armed Forces of Nigeria are something that I would like to express my gratitude for. For the purpose of encouraging soldiers to perform to the best of their abilities when they are sent to various activities, these efforts are being made.

His message, on the other hand, was that throughout the holiday season, Nigerians should demonstrate compassion and kindness toward those who are less fortunate.

As an additional point of interest, Ogalla stated that “Christmas is a time of gratitude and generosity as well as a season that encourages us to embrace the spirit of giving, kindness, compassion, and reflection.” Both the NOWA Christmas Carol and the Night of Nine Lesson have a particular place in our hearts because they capture the essence of the holiday season as well as the sense of community that is characteristic of the Naval Officers’ Wives Association.
