The Nigerian Army’s drone attack in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State claimed the lives of numerous people. Mr. Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, has expressed regret for these deaths.
Remember that the Army had acknowledged that the mistaken bombing that killed more than 80 people was its fault.
In a series of tweets published on his X account on Tuesday, Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, said that the Nigerian military needs to be extremely professional and cautious in order to prevent a repeat of the incident.
“Any incidence that causes injury or results in the deaths of the defenseless individuals must to be prevented.

Even if this incident is one too many, security services should collaborate with dependable human intelligence reports from the ground up prior to any offensive attack in order to prevent innocent casualties like those in this case.
Families that have lost loved ones to this terrible and regrettable accident suffer from irreversible anguish as a result of fatal errors like this one. I offer my heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost a dear one. And I ask God Almighty to quickly heal the wounded and to pardon the sins of the deceased, giving them eternal rest.
“We pray that such an error with such a tragic result never occurs in our nation again. We are regretfully paying such unexpected human costs as collateral damage because the issue of insecurity in our country has lasted for such a long time.
