Adegboyega Oyetola, the minister of marine and blue economy, called the Supreme Court panel’s ruling, which upheld President Bola Tinubu’s victory, a “sound one” on Thursday, saying it would further strengthen the nation’s electoral rules and legal jurisprudence.
The minister added in a statement provided by his spokeswoman, Ismail Omipidan, that the ruling had finally put an end to the legal dispute surrounding the 2023 presidential election. He also praised the judiciary’s tenacity in strengthening the nation’s democracy by issuing wise rulings.

Part of it said, “I congratulate our president, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and vice president, Senator Kashim Shettima, on their victory at the Supreme Court on behalf of the APC family in Osun.”
“The pointless squabbling, diversions, and litigation that accompanied the 2023 presidential election have been terminated by today’s ruling. In order to advance Nigeria for the benefit of the entire nation, I hope the opposition will work with our president.
In a similar vein, President Bola Tinubu has received congratulations from Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, Oluwo of Iwo in Osun State, for his triumph at the Supreme Court, which confirmed his victory in the 2023 presidential election.
In a congrats letter addressed to his press secretary, Alli Ibraheem, Oba Akanbi urged lawmakers to put Nigeria’s interests first, emphasizing that the nation is bigger than any one person.
In order to advance the nation, the royal father also pleaded with everyone involved in the legal dispute to work with Tinubu.
