Party points fingers at APC after gunmen attack Kogi SDP campaign office

Gunmen purportedly affiliated with Kogi State’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have reportedly struck the campaign headquarters of Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate Murtala Ajaka once more.
According to information obtained, an attack occurred on Tuesday morning on the SDP campaign office located in the state’s Ofu Local Government Area.

This occurs just days after a group of thugs claiming to be APC members terrorized and interrupted the SDP’s gubernatorial campaign gathering in Ejule, the state’s Ofu local government area.

Millions of naira’s worth of cars and other valuables are allegedly destroyed by the thugs during the prior incident.

Pastor Sunday Atabo, the SDP’s zonal chairman, also said that early on Saturday, his home was broken into and his car was vandalized.

An eyewitness who witnessed the current attack verified the details on social media, posting images of criminals smashing glass windows. At the site, there were two “bullets” that were purportedly used by the gunmen.

Unknown gunmen, who were presumably APC goons, broke through the glass windows of the MuriSam Campaign office of the Ofu Local Government.

The witness said on his Facebook page, “Glory be to God for the life of my family and I, as APC thugs destroyed all the glass windows and shot sporadically in my house.”

Since then, President Bola Tinubu and the security services have been urged by the SDP campaign committee to act quickly to stop the slide in Kogi State before it undermines the state’s democracy.
