The Rivers State 43Command reported that its personnel had detained three individuals in relation to the alleged murder and organ harvesting of a man named Progress in the community of Ogbaraye, Abua/Odual Local Government Area of the state.
This happened just two weeks after three people, two of whom were pastors, were detained in Port Harcourt by a vigilante group known as OSPAC in connection with the death of a 24-year-old physically challenged man.
They were caught for reportedly killing the individual with disabilities and removing his organ.
During the most recent occurrence, Progress, an okada rider from the Aminigboko village, was transporting some products from Abua Central (Abua LGA), according to a community source who went by the name Otuks.
He claimed that an unnamed man who is thought to be a ritual killer hired a group of five young men with an alluring offer in exchange for bringing certain human parts.
They’re drug lads, he declared. A possible ritualist then proceeded to make arrangements with them to obtain a tongue and a heart. I also heard that the man gave them promises worth more than N2 million.

They killed a man who was an okada rider, so there. Around 11 p.m., he was hurriedly transporting someone’s stuff from Central Abua to Amingboko.
Otuks continued, “This incident took place at the Emebu/Obrean border. As a result, they killed the man and dissected him. On Friday night, it took place. They committed the act and then escaped, but three of the suspects were eventually found and taken into custody.
When contacted on Sunday night, Grace Iringe-Koko, a spokeswoman for the state Police Command, verified the event and the arrest of the offenders.
I can confirm the incident, she replied. Three people have been detained for carrying out such act. To the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department they have been moved.
