Due to an increase in tuition and other fees for the university’s services, students at the University of Jos in Plateau State blocked the highways leading to campus on Tuesday.

The student protesters demanded an immediate reversal of the increase in school fees and other services provided by the University, which were organised by leaders of the Students Union Government of the institution.

Armed with signs that read, among other things, “We don’t want to drop out of school,” “If your children can afford the money, we can’t,” and “If your children can afford the money, we can’t.”
The students claimed that the government should refrain from adding even more fee increases because Nigerians were already facing significant hardship.
