The Nigerian president, Bola Tinubu, will go to New Delhi, India, with 38 other businesses and executives to attend the Nigeria-India Presidential Roundtable and Conference.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the Nigeria-India Business Council (NIBC), and the Nigerian High Commission in India are working together to prepare the event, which is likely to feature a speech from President Tinubu.
Aliko Dangote, chairman of the Dangote Group and the wealthiest man in Africa, Femi Otedola, chairman of the Femi Otedola Foundation, Chidi Ajaere, chairman of the GIG Group, and Allen Onyema, chairman of Air Peace, are among the delegation’s prominent businessmen and investors.
This was disclosed by the Nigerian High Commissioner to India, Ambassador Ahmed Sule, who asked the Indian High Commission in Abuja for entrance visas for the top businesspeople and Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) in a letter addressed to them.
Alhaji Abdul Sama Rabiu, Kola Karim, Julius Rone, Hajiya Bola Shagaya, and Folurunsho Alakija are a few other well-known businessmen that are anticipated to attend the event.
Other people include Mohammed Indimi, Prince Arthur Eze, Chief Razak Akanni Okoya (Eleganza), Sir Emeka Offor, Cosmas Maduka, Jim Ovia, and Adewale Tinubu.
The request for proper entry visas for representatives of the Nigerian business sector to attend the Presidential Round table and conference at the Le Meridian Hotel in New Delhi on September 6, 2023, was made in a letter to the Indian High Commissioner in Abuja.
“I write to inform you that the following members of the Nigerian private sector will be travelling to New Delhi to attend the Nigeria-India Presidential roundtable and conference organised by the High Commission in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Nigeria-India Business Council (NIBC), at which His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, will speak,” Sule wrote in the letter.

Others are Alhaji Dr. Musbahu Mohammed Bashir of the Althani Group of Companies, Mr. Jim Ovia of Zenith Bank Plc, Dr. Oritsedere Otubu of EKEDC, Mr. Adewale Tinubu of Oando, and Mr. Gbenga Agboola of Flutt.

The next G-20 Summit in New Delhi, which is scheduled to take place between September 9 and 10, is expected to draw Tinubu to India on a special invitation.
