One of the eight members of the National Youth Service Corps kidnapped on a highway in Zamfara on Saturday has an N4 million ransom demand.

In order to take part in the required one-year National Youth Service Corps program, the victims were riding an AKTC bus from Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, to Sokoto State before continuing to Zamfara State.

Glory Thomas’ father, Emmanuel Etteh, told Channels TV over the phone on Friday that the bandits had called to warn him of his daughter’s kidnapping and demanded N4m in exchange for her return.

“They contacted me on their line and demanded N4 million from me. I asked my daughter how they wanted us to pay, and she suggested that we get in touch with the AKTC,” he stated.
