Adamawa State is under a 24-hour curfew as ordered by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri.
On Sunday, the governor made his decision public.
This comes in response to the increasing attacks by thugs breaking into warehouses and stealing food and other valuables.
On his verified Twitter account, Fintiri stated that the government had taken the action as a preventative measure to stop the escalating violence by hoodlums attacking people and establishments.

The governor declared a 24-hour curfew in Adamawa State as of immediately Sunday, July 30, 2023, due to an uptick in violence by hoodlums attacking civilians and businesses.
“Only essential movements with a valid ID are permitted. For the sake of everyone’s safety, please abide by our requests,” he wrote.
