The 28 ministerial candidates that President Bola Tinubu submitted for the National Assembly’s consideration were read out by Senate President Godswill Akpabio on Thursday in the afternoon.
Tinubu’s ministerial list was read aloud on the Senate floor by Dave Umahi and Nyesom Wike, the former governors of the states of Ebonyi and Rivers.
Nasir El-Rufai, a former governor of Kaduna, was also included.
We previously stated that Femi Gbajabiamila, Tinubu’s chief of staff, arrived at the Red Chambers to give the Senate’s list of ministerial nominees for the start of the screening process.
We discovered that Gbajabiamila entered and presented the list around 1.20pm; there are 28 candidates on the list.
Akpabio then read the 28-name ministerial list.
