The Zamfara State Police Command has announced that it is stepping up efforts to free four abducted women who are in danger of being forced into marriage in the terrorists’ lair.
According to reports, the abducted women were seen sobbing in a two-minute, 19-second video clip released by the terrorists on Sunday, pleading with Dauda Lawal, the governor of Zamfara State, and the general public to save them before the bandits forced them into marriage.
All of the girls, who were emaciated and wore hijabs, claimed that forced marriage was a possibility because their families couldn’t afford to pay the N12 million ransom demanded by the kidnappers.
