Muhammad Abba Danbatta, the Executive Secretary of the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, was terminated from his position by Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Governor of Kano State.
In addition, the chairman of the Board, Sheikh Abdullahi Saleh Pakistan, was removed from his position.
Early on Tuesday morning, this information was made public in a statement that was signed by Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, who serves as the governor’s spokesperson.
As a consequence of this, Governor Yusuf gave his approval for the appointment of Alhaji Laminu Rabiu to the position of new Executive Secretary of the State Pilgrims Welfare Board. While Alhaji Yusuf Lawan took over as the new chairman, Sheikh Pakistan stepped down from his position.

Malama Nana Aisha, a prominent member of the Noard and daughter of the late Islamic cleric Sheikh Jafar Mahmud Adam, is one of the people whose position has been jeopardised as a result of the sack.
Sheikh Abbas Abubakar Daneji, Sheikh Shehi Shehi Maihula, Amb. Munir Lawan, Sheikh Isma’il Mangu, Hajia Aishatu Munir Matawalle, and Dr. Sani Ashir have been appointed to their respective positions on the Board of Directors.
The statement went on to say that the individuals who had been appointed were anticipated to immediately take control of the operations of the Board in order to guarantee the success of the Hajj exercise in 2023.
