Two people killed in bomb explosion in Nasarawa

An explosion that may have been caused by a bomb has claimed the lives of two people in the metropolis of Keffi, which serves as the administrative centre for the Keffi Local Government Area in the state of Nasarawa.

It was reported that the incident took place in the early hours of Sunday morning along Nasarawa Road in Keffi, directly across from the General Hospital.

According to one source, residents of Keffi town began gathering at the location of the two-bedroom residential flat that had been damaged by the explosion as early as 6:00 a.m. on Sunday.

According to the information provided by the source, “the incident caused the deaths of two male occupants of the rented flat in the neighbourhood.”

He explained that the victims had arrived back in Keffi from their journey on the afternoon of Saturday.

He claimed that those people (the victims) were on the Department of State Security’s (DSS) wanted list before their adversary tracked them down. He emphasised that the victims were aware that DSS operatives had surrounded their house and that they had no choice but to blow themselves up with an explosive device because they knew the DSS operatives were closing in on them.

The Police Public Relation Officer, DSP Rahman Nansel, did not respond to the text message he asked the correspondent to send to him. He requested that the message be sent to him.
