Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, former Kano State governor, launched the new Ungwan Rimi Market and School and Emir Roads in Kaduna on Friday.
Chief Bisi Akande, former interim national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, also commissioned Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s Urban Renewal Programme’s extended Bida Road.
Akande, who commissioned the road on behalf of Minister of Information Alhaji Lai Mohammed, praised El-Rufai for changing Kaduna State for humanity.
Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff, who commissioned the Kabala Flyover on Aliyu Makama Road, Barnaw, said he felt Kaduna will remember the excellent things the El-Rufai administration did.
Namadi Sambo, ex-Vice President, commissioned the Raba connection road and stated it will benefit Kaduna state.
Sambo said, “While praying Allah to continue to bless El-Rufai for the huge development, the people are very proud of the governor because it is very clear that for the next 50 years, Kaduna metropolis will be a new city.”
Sen. Aisha Binani commissioned the Umar Yar’Adua Road in Kaduna Millennium City, claiming it benefits her and the state’s residents.
At the commissioning, Gov. El-Rufai stated the projects are part of the administration’s Urban Renewal Programme to develop and repair key public infrastructure across the state.
El-Rufai said the projects are vital for the state because they unite communities, attract investment, and boost economic growth.
El-Rufai’s urban renewal strategy commissioned some projects.
In January 2021, President Muhammadu Buhari launched the urban redevelopment program’s first phase.
